PRE Labs grew out of a desire to create survivability products that would better serve users in every way; better fit, better comfort, better protection.
To do that we harness the expertise and experience of former law enforcement, military and armour manufacturing professionals as well as top scientists and engineers in the fields of polymer chemistry, materials research and armour solutions engineering.

Brad Field has more than 30 years of experience leading some of North America’s most esteemed body armour manufacturing companies.
Brad was the founder and CEO of Pacific Safety Products Inc., a company he led over two decades as it became Canada’s largest body armour manufacturer. In that role, Brad guided the design of hundreds of patented products.
After retiring from Pacific Safety Products, Brad became the Vice President of Corporate Development at ArmorWorks Enterprises LLC, a survivability products manufacturer in Phoenix, AZ. During his term with ArmorWorks, he acquired and licensed a range of innovative tactical gear products, and established and oversaw the operations of a Canadian manufacturing facility.
After leaving ArmorWorks Brad extensively analysed the Canadian and international survivability products markets and identified a real need for an innovative and customer focused manufacturer. He had also been working on patenting technologies, which could identify the “health” of body armour as well as developing complex algrythms which would assist in the sizing of body armour to highly accurate levels. PRE Labs is now his conduit for bringing these products to reality.
As an accomplished leader in the industry, Brad has recently been appointed to the Security Materials Technology Roadmap (SMTRM) Group, a collaboration between the Canadian National Research Council (NRC), Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) and industry partners. These groups have collectively been tasked with assessing and providing guidance on current and future technologies in personnel and vehicle protection.
Over the years Brad has also become an internationally recognized expert witness in cases related to body armour and ballistic materials.
