PRE Labs is seeking enthusiastic production support personnel. Experience is not essential, but production or manufacturing experience is an asset. Knowledge of textiles and related production equipment such as sewing machines, snap button machines, and/or bar tack machines also an asset.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Assistant will be responsible for carrying out various manufacturing processes including:

• Machine Operation (Training will be provided): Sewing Machine, Bar Tack Machine, Programmeable Sewer.
• Measuring and cutting materials.
• Repetitive Tasks such as fastening Velcro strips to cloth backing, pulling/removing old stitches, sorting and organizing cut materials, applying buttons/snaps to garments.
• Quality Control Inspections.
• Some lifting may be required at times - up to 25lbs.
• Support of additional production teams and processes as needed.
• Maintaining machines and work area.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• 6+ months experience working in some form of textile production/manufacturing shop/general labor/warehouse, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Embroidery/Garment Manufacturing Experience is considered an asset.
• Experience with machines: Sewing and Embroidery Machines, CAD machines.
• Measuring and basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
• Strong attention to detail is critical. Our products save lives, and it is our duty to provide quality, high-performance solutions that adhere to strict industry and safety standards.
• Experience with quality control and best practices.
• Ability and willingness to cross-train.
• No experience/entry level will also be considered.
• Candidate will need to have reliable transportation. We are also located directly in front of a bus stop.
• Work Schedule:* 7:00AM – 3:30PM (8 hour shift)

Compensation Details:

• Compensation based on previous work experience and performance.
• Opportunity for wage advancements and promotions from within.
• 4% Vacation Pay.
• 100% Employer Paid Benefits will start after 3-month probation.
