Design Assistant

PRE Labs is looking for a motivated worker to help us produce our growing line of protective products including concealable, external and tactical body armour and accessories, protective clothing and more. We encourage all interested candidates to apply, even if you don’t meet every qualification—we’re happy to provide training for the right person with the passion and willingness to learn.

Job responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager of Design, the Design Assistant will play a key role in the design department. 

• Marker making 
• Pattern design and alteration for production 
• Additional design and production duties as needed 

Experience and education: 

• A qualification/certificate in design and/or pattern making an asset
• Previous production and/or manufacturing experience an asset
• Experience in apparel pattern making software (Gerber, TUKA, Adobe Illustrator etc.) an asset

• Have excellent computer skills and ability to adapt to new software 
• Willingness to learn and grow with a tight-knit team
