Position Summary
The Supply Chain / Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring materials are available to support Ottawa production while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. The position works closely with PRE Labs' Kelowna purchasing team, Ottawa Production, Quality, and Warehouse personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production material requirements.
- Coordinate purchasing requirements with approved suppliers and PRE Labs' Kelowna team.
- Maintain inventory records and material availability.
- Assist with production planning and scheduling.
- Monitor purchase orders and supplier delivery dates.
- Identify material shortages and potential supply risks.
- Coordinate incoming-material priorities with Warehouse and Quality.
- Maintain appropriate minimum and maximum inventory levels.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Support supplier performance monitoring.
- Coordinate intercompany material transfers between Kelowna and Ottawa.
- Maintain accurate ERP and inventory-system records.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of purchasing, materials, inventory, or supply-chain experience.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience with ERP or inventory-management software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with textiles or technical materials is an asset.
- Experience with Sage Canada 50 Software an asset
